Greenwood Hall Hire

Welcome to St Albans United Reformed Church.  We want to be part of the local community and for our excellent facilities to be available for use.  Our hall use charges are kept as low as possible so that we can continue to offer good and safe facility standards to all those in our neighbourhood.

Our Greenwood site is easy to find on the Watford Road in Chiswell Green. We have designated parking for 16 vehicles available on site.  It is on a direct bus route between St Albans and Watford with a bus stop near the church entrance.  Our buildings and most of its internal rooms are wheelchair accessible. Additional facilities include audiovisual systems.  The site benefits from large grounds that are managed for the benefit of nature making it a delightful setting for summer events

The Church

The Church accommodates about 66 people. The piano and sound system are available by arrangement.

Stanley Paul Room

The Stanley Paul Room, named after a founder member, is adjacent to the Church.  It contains a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities.  It is suitable for meetings of up to 10 people.

The Hall

The hall will accommodate about 82 people in theatre style or about 54 seated at tables.   There is a large screen and Audiovisual equipment available by arrangement.  Chairs and tables are available.

Kitchen

The kitchen is adjacent to the main hall and has a hatch for easy serving of refreshments.  It is fully fitted with oven and hob, refrigerator and dishwasher.

The Hall – £25/hour

The Church £20/hour

Stanley Paul room £10/hour

Evening party includes Hall & kitchen (1800-0000) £200

Daytime party includes hall & kitchen (up to 4 hours) £110

Note:

Public events, including fund raising, entertainment or sale of alcohol may require  a temporary event licence.  It is the user’s responsibility to ensure compliance with legislation.  Discuss with the hall booking administrator if in doubt.
