You're welcome here!
Here is some information for those planning a visit at either the Homewood or Greenwood site, so that you know what to expect on a Sunday morning.
Where and When?
We meet in the Church for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. There is a car park on both sites and street parking is nearby. On arrival you will be greeted by an Elder or Welcomer. Coffee, tea or a soft drink and a biscuit are served from 10am. This is a chance to meet others and find your bearings. All refreshments are free.
Accessibility
There is wheelchair access, and aisles are wide enough to accommodate a walking frame. We have a sound loop for anyone who needs it. There are also disabled toilets.
Our Service
The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from our Church Secretary or an Elder, and church notices. Then follows a time of songs and hymns, prayers, Bible readings and a sermon. After a Blessing, the congregation is invited to share Joys and Concerns. At Homewood, refreshments are served again, and for those who wish to stay there is a discussion about thoughts raised during the service.
Communion is celebrated once a month at each site. This takes place on the first Sunday of each month at Homewood. All who wish to, are invited to share in the Lord's Supper. The bread is gluten and dairy free and the wine is non-alcoholic.
The services are led by our minister, a visiting minister, a lay preacher or the Worship Group.
Morning services from Homewood are streamed live on YouTube if you'd like to see what happens. You can see these if you click on the link at the bottom of the website page.
Children and Families
At Homewood there is a Children's Corner where books, art and craft activities are provided. Parade Services for the Uniformed Organisations with a connection to the church happen twice a year. These services are led by visiting Christian Youth Workers. Other family activities take place at other times of the week. Please refer to the Children and Families section of the website.
